Temple of the Sculpted Tables

Chichen Itza - Temple of the Sculpted Tables

he name of this building derives from the reliefs carved on the north and the south walls of the colonnade, depicting scenes of numerous people, animals and plants.

The building is made up of a temple erected on a slab foundation with a colonnade in front of it. The typical Kukulkan- serpenthead-design can also be seen on the entrance columns of the upper temple, as well at the end of the stairway.
